Hi, 

Just wondered, I made a loss of £26,000 when buying and selling shares, in the tax year 2022/23. 
Is that anyway I claim some kind of back for this loss. TIA

    You can use it to offset future years gains but can't use it against prior years gains. It's effectively an asset you're holding.

    You will need to notify the losses to HMRC within four years of incurring them to ensure their use against future gains.  Can claim on your tax return or by writing to HMRC.
