Hi All
I am worried sick they are going to call at my home
10 years ago I hit on hard times with credit cards and agreed with the bank to pay the dept off at £5 a month
From then till now I have done that
The bank sold my dept on to a  DCA and I received a letter from the bank telling me they had done this and I didn't need to do anything so I didn't
I dont answer calls I don't recognise and ignored the letters as I was still paying what was agreed I have not defaulted on my payments
So now DCA (I think it must be them) have resolvedcall to contact me they sent a message to my phone with a link to fill in my details which I won't do  and the reference no I don't have so I am just her waiting for the knock
I have emailed thier complaints dept and enquiry dept on Monday asking for a provit letter but had no response ,no acknowledgement to my emails , I am thinking they won't so they have an excuse to call to the house so should I send a sign for letter to them at the Head Office
I am of pensioner age and live alone but still have to work
I have no idea really where I stand on this but until I know why resovecall have contacted me and how much I still owe if it is DCA I don't know what to do
Would appreciate any help

It seems odd to be paying £5 per month on a debt with unknown balance

Don't worry about Resolvecall as they have no rights to do anything.

If you are not receiving a sensible letter (not text or email or phone) stating what you owe, then you may need to stop paying until you have that figure and can work out how much is sensible as a payment.

Does this appear on a credit report?
  • Thank you for your response no my credit score is good
I owed a lot on my credit card and paying £5 a month won't have reduced it by much

Your not still paying the bank are you?

As they have sold your debt, so that money won`t be going anywhere, if you are still paying them I would stop.

Resolvecall are harmless, they will be working on behalf of the debt purchasing company that has bought your debt, likely Cabot, might be time to read your mail and see who has been writing to you, as ignoring them will be the reason Resolvecall have been engaged.
