Self-Assessment Tax Simulator

Hello, Is there a simulator (paid or free) that you would recommend for testing your self assessment tax liability. I have income from Private Pension, Bank Interest and Dividend payment and want to see how the tax is calculated, i.e. in old school math tests "show your working".
Thanks
Allen
Thanks

I’ve found the online SA form to be the best simulator. Just don’t hit submit.2

Hi On-the-coast - thanks. Do you mean the HMRC online form.? Does it show the working please?0

Yes, you just follow the self-assessment process on the HMRC site and when it reaches the end, prior to submitting, you get to view your calculation, which shows how any tax liability is derived.allen61 said:Hi On-the-coast - thanks. Well, I don't know about the online self assessment HMRC option I like to keep my exposure to the Gov minimal. I did some sums using an online calculator I found. It's not too hard to use but cannot vouch for accuracy. It was good enough for my wants.

Thanks kempiejon - I tested and got very close answer to a paid for tax calc. (within 0.11%) which is close enough.0
