My Mum is a school cleaner that works 39 weeks of the year is paid for 43 weeks with holiday. The school spreads this over the year and pays her monthly.
she has always earned enough each week for the national insurance credits, we were expecting that she would have to pay for a few weeks each tax year to top up her state pension but we have found that some years have no weeks paid at all. Why would this be? Some years show 31 weeks paid but then there as some years with no weeks paid at all and she has to pay for a full year.

She can check recent years (last 4?) in the PAYE part of her Personal Tax Account.

You don't say how much she earns? She would need to (currently) earn £123 a week to be credited with National Insurance if she doesn't actually pay it, not sure what happens if her wage is paid over 12 months."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

NI is, as with everyone else, per pay packet. On a 43 paid weeks paid over 52w / 12m they would need to earn £148.75 pw to get the £123 pw / £533 pm LEL credits.0
