NHS and State Pension after Retirement. Spouse Dies What Happens to Pension

Hi
My wife and I want to know as we are planning on modifying our wills and Tenants in Common.
We have both been retired from the NHS for a few years and get our NHS pension each month. My wife also gets her monthly state pension.
When we were discussing the changes we are considering. The question came up regarding our monthly pensions and what happens when the other one dies leaving the other a widow.?
I tried googling the answer but became confused!
So the questions are:
1) Wife receives her state and NHS pension. If she dies what if anything from her NHS and State pension does the husband get after her death?
2) Husband receives NHS pension only. If he dies first what if anything from his NHS pension does she get after husbands death?
Guidance appreciated.

Which NHS pension scheme(s)?
Were you married before the pensions went into payment?1 -

State pension - As you both retired post 2016 unless there is an amount above the full new pension of £221.20 nothing can be inherited.1

I’m still finding some of the terminology confusing. The lump sum bit I can ignore as we both got that 6 years ago when we retired?I presume the term Adult Dependent is the surviving member? Reading the link is my interpretation correct that the survivor would get 50% of the deceased NHS pension each month?
Sorry to labour this but we wish to be as informed as we can be when we update our wills.0 -

sounds like you retired when I did, the lumps sum was paid out and that is it - the surviving spouse gets the full amount for 3 months or something like that and then about 50% afterwards1 -

Interesting to note that this reduces to 37.5% in the 2008 scheme and 33.75% in the 2015 scheme.3 -

Interesting to note that this reduces to 37.5% in the 2008 scheme and 33.75% in the 2015 scheme. This is because those other schemes have higher accrual rates, but no automatic lump sum.50% of an accrual rate of 1/80 is 1/160.37.5% of an accrual rate of 1/60 is 1/16033.75% of an accrual rate of 1/54 is 1/1609 -
Thanks everyone. It has helped with our understanding. It does appear that the surviving spouse under the 1995 scheme would get 50% of the pension.0
