I have an ongoing MCOL debt collection case and have found to my dismay that emailing MCOL is a waste of time, no real person is actually reading my emails because I have had the same 'formulaic-template' reply 3 times to a simple question, each reply stated "Please be advised that the case is currently with the district judge as of the 8th January 2025" ... which is now over 2 months ago! ... How long am I expected to wait for a CCJ to be granted and issued?

If the case has been with a judge since 8 January 2025 he/she may not have looked at the case yet.
It will take as long as it takes for the judge to look at the case and then to decide how to proceed.0 -
Hey there, I also have an ongoing MCOL debt collection case.. I started mine beginning of March this year.. and today I try to follow up phoning MCOL 0300 123 1056 for update on the request warrant stage / warrant of control.. and the agent says that my claim / case no. doesn't work.. so told me to write an email to: CaseProgression.CNBC@justice.gov.uk to let them know that my personal details are not showing.. so so weird.. this has never happened before.. and I phoned then a few times.. they keep you on hold for 30 / 60 odd mins.. today it was 1hr / 6xmins before an agent answered.. and he couldn't even talk clearly.. I couldn't understand him.. what is going on these days with communication.. and I done a search on ChatGPT asking out of all the cases that have been dealt with on MCOL since it started, how many have recovered their debts.. and apparently that information is not freely available online with MCOL. although the internet says unto 79% of cases have default judgement, but I know that all that means is that the person or company your claiming against hasn't responded, so you can request judgement (default judgement ) which means then you can move on and try to enforce the collection of the debt, which is the stage I'm at, at the moment, request warrant, they send in the bailiffs.. but that looks like it's failing, next option is to pay even more court fees and ask for the case to be transferred to higher court with bailiffs with higher powers.. I was trying to find out what the success rate is for recovery of debt and apparently that information is not available.. what a joke.. how is that even possible.. so no one is monitoring this apparently.. doesn't give much hope for faith in the system does it.. it seems like, once again it's all about keeping up appearances, being seen to be doing something when the system doesn't seem to be doing anything, except taking your money.. I hope I'm wrong...0
