Advice please! If you have had planning to rebuild a like for like footprint in size, what are the rules around council tax? does the council tax remain the same banding if the new build is like for like in size?

The same principle applies for all dwellings - what would it have sold for on the open market as a 1 April 1991 (Eng and Scot) or 1 April 2003 (Wales). If the new build would have sold for more than the old build, then there is a possibility it could be placed in a higher band.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
