Childcare funding eligibility when between employment and self-employment

I am due to update my eligibility for my daughter's childcare fees. I am self-employed (not officially registered as such anywhere) and currently earning well below threshold. If this changes over the next few months, but due to part-time employment starting (with self-employment continuing on the side), will I be penalised as this is from employed income as opposed to self-employment?

Have you been claiming tax free child care as self employed already?0
