Electiricy meter certification expiry (?)

I have an older electricity meter, type C11B/M, with sticker on it that states "Certified 91 SO" - I assume this means it was certified in 1991.

Looking at this OPSS document, the "prescribed period of certification" for this type appears to be 30 years - which would mean it's now outside it's certification period by 3/4 years. Is this a correct reading of the situation?

For what it's worth, my electicity supplier hasn't contacted me regarding any requirement to replace this meter. I have been opted out of smart meter 'nags' with my supplier as prolonged domestic rearrangements have made access to the meter awkward, but having done a quick bit of research I don't think this should have stopped contact from my supplier if a replacement was deemed a requirement.

My guess is that this has either fallen down the back of the proverbial filing cabinet with my supplier (or rather the digital equivelent thereof), or otherwise that meter is still deemed to be OK.

The meter itself seems fine and looks to be in normal working order so I'm not fussed by this. My supplier meanwhile doesn't currently have any available appointments for a smart meter installation... so my reckoning is I'll put this issue on the back burner for now and come back to it later.

You say it's working fine, but is it? You never know if it's not measuring double the usage etc. - that's why there is certification in place with time limit on it.
    Who's your provider?

True, I don't know if it might be over or under reading. For what it's worth it's one of the old 'spinning disc' type meters which I'm led to believe are pretty solidly engineered and remain reliable even after the passage of many years.

I'm with EDF. Looking online, there are no smart meter installation appointments available (to me) in the next 7 weeks, which is the window in which the booking tool operates - this has been the same the last few times I've had a look recently. My guess is that this might be down to the last minute rush to get RTS meters replaced before the 30 June deadline.

I'm in no desperate rush so I'll revisit this later in the summer or autumn.
