Got a forecast from the government website of £221.48. This is not the standard £221.20 or that amount plus 4.1% April increase. I can’t find any reference to that amount when googling.
I know it’s only pence but I’m concerned if this amount is incorrect, is the rest of the info?
Sorry if in wrong forum - I’m new 😀
Any advice appreciated

Why do you your personal maximum is limited to £221.20?
It is unlikely to be a figure for 2025-26 yet.0 -
I know it’s only pence but I’m concerned if this amount is incorrect, is the rest of the info? What makes you think its wrong. Many people getting the state pension in the future will get more than the NSP maximum. Some just a little more. Some a lot more.

It just seems the “standard maximum” quoted anywhere is currently £221.20. The query is actually for a friend. My own forecast is £221.20 and we’re the same age. I understand I could be unnecessarily concerned but just wanted to check.0

This simply indicates that when your friend's "starting (foundation) amount" for NSP was calculated on 6/4/16, it was slightly in excess of a full NSP, (£155.65).
Since then, the £155.65 has increased under the triple lock ( temporarily double lock post covid) arrangement to £221.20 while the tiny balance (his "protected payment" has increased by CPI to 28p.

In the case of the person cited above, his "starting amount" was also in excess of the full NSP but by a few pounds.
The same system operated so that his "protected payment" has increased to £14.16.
