Natwest Timescale and Process

Just submitted a mortgage application through Natwest, 80% LTV.  The valuation has been carried out and came back fine about a week ago.

Can anyone share any advise on timescale and process through Natwest? Should I be encouraged the valuation has taken place or is that all very standard?

Valuation is a key part of the process. There's little point in a lender expending time and effort if the property itself isn't suitable security for the mortgage applied for. In the background there'll be various checks being performed and collated. Before an underwriter will become involved.

We submitted an 86% purchase application on 28 Feb. An automated valuation was done and the offer was issued today.
