Pension credit

I have 5 year missing gaps in N.I

The cheapest is about £150 to pay. The most expensive year is about £900

I have 21 years of opportunity to be eligible for full state pension.

Would buying any number of years adversely affect my ability to claim pension credit?

If you mean you won't be eligible for state pension for another 21 years (maybe even longer), there may not be a benefit called 'pension credit' by that time.

The chances are that you will qualify for the full nSP by then even if you don't plug these earlier gaps.

The nSP is set at a few £s over the Pension Credit means test limit, and so very few future pensioners will qualify for it.  If, indeed, it still exists at all.

Yes, if your state pension exceeds the income eligibility requirement to claim pension credit - but if you have another 20+ years before you could claim PC, who knows if it will even exist by then?
