Any experience with Mojo mortgages?

We're remortgaging and also making a big overpayment. It does look like just changing product and staying with my current provider makes most sense.
Over the weekend I filled in a form for Mojo mortgages (via Zoopla) and the conversation this morning was "interesting" to say the least.
They also start an application as a default. Anybody that has used them in the past know how easy it is to opt out?
Thanks!

They cant just without your permission. They are conducting credit checks on you, they are sharing your information with third parties - there are data protection and GDPR considerations. You must have given them permission - although I suppose ticking a box would probably class as giving permission.
Just call them up and ask them to stop if you do not want them to proceed. You would have been given a document regarding their fees if there were any.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Well they did! According to them I gave them a "verbal permission" which I didn't. Considering complaining with the ombudsman, but no idea if it's worth it.0
