I recently gave notice to Sky and plugged in my 2012 box yesterday, no satellite signal.

Last year I upgraded to Sky Q and they updated the satellite.

Do old Humax boxes work with current Sky Satellite?

Thank you.

When you have been "upgraded" to Sky Q, they will have swapped the LNB for the (the thing in front of the satellite dish.     The Sky Q LNB will not work with the Humax Freesat box (it will work with the brand new freesat boxes but they are expensive.

Your best best would be to change the LNB, you can buy them from ebay.      You can swap it yourself if you follow youtube videos and are reasonably good at DIY.

Agreed. When I had Sky Q installed I requested a hybrid LNB, which means 2 out of the 4 outputs were standard and would work with older equipment.

As this is a moneysaving site I'll just point out that the linked LNB is expensive cf Screwfix or many other sellers on eBay.

that's what I did and I installed the the extra cabling in anticipation so I could use both sets of outputs. The guy who installed the new dish terminated them all for me as well.

    Thank you.

Please can you post a link to a cheaper LNB that would work with my older Freesat box?
