Advice please

I currently owe lowell around £1500 as i defaulted with very back in 2017. I pay £1 per month. (Yes i know it’s bad). This is no longer showing on my credit file. Just pay the direct debit monthly. I also owe brecon debt recovery (next) around £1300, again i defaulted in 2017. I pay £5 per month. Again, this is no longer showing on my credit file. If i ask them for a reduced final settlement figure, or if i pay the whole balance off, will this then reappear on my credit file? Basically hoping to apply for a mortgage next year and now i am starting to panic. I am clueless with all these things.

thanks

Assuming you've checked all three of your credit records, because any mortgage provider will do that rather than any credit file, and they are all clean, potential mortgage providers are not going to see any adverse credit.

Obviously, they might see the pay outs to these old creditors on your bank statements. If you settle the debts, there will be nothing to edit on your credit record.

Please read the dull and final settlement thread before doing anything.

I may use the phrase dull and final settlement in future.

Token offers are not a long term strategy

Very were never very good at getting signed credit agreements. Don't know what the other one was. Suggest stop paying and do cca requests.

Here is a link that explains how to ask the debt collector for a CCA https://nationaldebtline.org/get-information/guides/credit-agreements-getting-information-ew/
