If it's unsolicited I'd bin it on principle - if eveyone did this, there would eventually be a worldwide shortage of spam and we could all eat our egg+chips in peace...0

Mailwasher is a free download (although there is a paid for pro version too) that allows you to review your emails before downloading them thus giving you the option to bounce back to sender/marking as spam etc.
