As long as they stay in default of your request, your debt is unenforceable.
Doesn't matter what they may say, the only letter you must respond to is a court claim.
I would just get on with your life, and if a court claim ever comes, remind them of their failure to provide documents when requested.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. is this just empty threats by email or shall I reply to reiterate they haven't provided the information I requested?
PRA Group UK Portfolios Ltd purchased your Barclaycard account on February 17th 2025 and we have been trying to resolve this matter with you ever since.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this letter, there is still not an agreement in place to resolve this matter. An outcome of this is that your account is now with our Investigations and Litigation Department to look at your outstanding debt for possible Litigation recovery.
We want to work with you to help you clear your remaining debt in an affordable manner, and we have a fully trained team waiting to take your call.
If we do not hear from you by July 19th 2025 then your account will be considered for the next stage which would be putting you on notice that court proceedings may be brought against you.0 -
Standard computer generated threat of legal action, filled with if`s, but`s and may be`s.
You can remind them of their failure to comply with your sec 77 request, and give them 14 days to respond lol.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. sourcrates said:Not yet seen a compliant credit agreement for any Egg card, the wording on the agreements was irrevocably
flawed.
Egg are the only company to have flawed agreements.
You need to obtain and check your CCA and where it should say "Credit Limit" it may well say "Approved Limit" in which case it is unenforceable for using wrong language on a regulated document.
Basically if your Egg agreement uses the term "Approved" as opposed to "Credit" then the agreement is unenforceable as the prescribed term "Credit Limit", is missing.
This is in addition to any other flaw that might be present.states
3. Limit
We will tell you the approved limit we have set and, if different, the individual limit you have chosen for the account.
Later on in the document standard barclays tems have been appended which do state credit limit.

You might want to run it past the experts on Legal Beagles, they are more in tune with legislative requirements than I am.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
