hi all. my bankruptcy  is officially 6 years old on the 5th march. hopefully i will see all the stubborn accounts that are still on disappear. some have been closed and disapeared over the last 6 years but 4 are atill showing. BEST  thing i ever did. fresh start and all the stress gone. i was having ALL my wages on minimum payments and feeling lost. if anyone is thinking about it i hope you do it and start a fresh.

Well done, I agree, bankruptcy was the best thing I ever did too, things haven't always been easy but the pressure is certainly off, the Official Receiver, court staff etc were really nice people, and although a last resort, and good if it can be avoided, it isn't the end of the world so if anyone is in that situation, please don't panic!4

Most ex-bankrupts say its the best decision they ever made, and by far the majority of bankruptcies that do not involve property/assets or fraud of any kind, go very smoothly indeed, in fact the process can be too simple, you fill in a form, pay your fee, click a button, answer a phone call with the OR, and that`s it in most cases.beeteecee said:Thanks @stevelo for sharing. I'm still in the depths of stress about going bankrupt and unable to make the decision so it is positive to hear stories of people doing OK since

I've read this so many times but I'm so worried still...it's irrational. I worry about not being able to get another house if my landlord were to sell etc etc...and my case, from reading on here and elsewhere, doesn't seem as straightforward as most, but even then I do know I should just get it done...I'm still waiting for them (HMRC) to do it for me but that could be years away and the stress between now and then is...not the easiest!sourcrates said:
