Council Tax evaluation rejected

I went through all the steps for reassessment a few years back, and submitted the forms. I put lots of work in and researched all the other similar sized properties on my street.
I live on a large road, former Great North Road, and I am the only house on my street in council band F, all the others are E or lower. There are houses on the street worth significantly more. I appealed, but was told I had to find a similar house in age and size. We are the only detached house as it's a 1920's built on a plot next to a run of large Victorian semi's. There are a mix of Georgian and and Victorian semis and terraces.
When I got the rejection back they said they would only compare to similar properties, but there are none.
My father died as this was happening and I never got back to it, can I retry and why how can I get around this?

Unless you can find other detached houses of a similar size and age in the vicinity in Band E, there is little point in trying again. You don't have to limit your search to your own roadIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
