Renewal fee and current proof of address for Oyster 60+?

I first got my Oyster 60+ in March 2023. The expiry date on the card and on my account isn't until 2030. However, last March, I had to pay £30 and provide fresh evidence that I was still living at the same address for it to continue. A friend, who is a few weeks older, also had to pay/provide proof in 2024 but hasn't received any reminder to do the same in 2025 and her card is still working. Has this requirement been suspended?

Annual address checks were suspended/delayed because of the cyber attack on TfL's systems last year. They now say that the checks should now be expected on the anniversary of issuance.
Why were you charged £30? Initial application fee is £20, and the annual check fee thereafter is £10.0 -
I might have remembered the amount wrongly but my friend's anniversary was earlier this month, after the cyber attack had been resolved. I also asked someone else who is several years older and now almost eligible for the freedom pass. She has never had to renew her 60+flaneurs_lobster said:Annual address checks were suspended/delayed because of the cyber attack on TfL's systems last year. The renewal thing only started recently. Your friend who is older will have got hers under the old rules.katejo said:

I have since met someone else who is about 3 or 4 years older and she has always had to renew until this year. I am now just past my birthday but have still not heard anything on this. I looked at the relevant TFL web page today and there is nothing about this at all. It still just says that renewal is required.t0rt0ise said:

I renewed mine in February and paid the renewal fee, no proof of address check was required at that time. Supposedly TFL sent me an email sometime in April (I have checked inboxs, trash etc and nothing shows), requesting proof of address (after Ive already given them teh money). Since I didnt reply to the email I didnt receive, they cancelled the card without any warning. When I tried to use it recently, it was blocked.
Having spent a long time on hold with customer services, Ive been told I now have to reapply and pay the 35 pound charge for a new card, even though Ive already paid for the year on my old card (which will not be refunded).
The person I spoke to on the phone, said a number of people had faced same issue with accounts being cancelled, and had said they didnt receive an email.0 -
I was expecting to have to renew mine in March but I knew someone else due to renew in February who hadn't heard about a renewal requirement so I wasn't surprised not to hear. I did get the email in April. I am surprised that TFL went ahead with your renewal in February given their situation. I think it should have been deferred until.April. I know someone else who reached 60 last summer but was denied a 60+ until October or November because of the same issue..jrfo22 said:I renewed mine in February and paid the renewal fee, no proof of address check was required at that time.
