Htpc

I'm thinking of building a Home theatre PC.

I've got a 2.8 Pentium and a Gig of memory already.

Just need advice on the rest. The HTPC cases are rip offs.

Silentpc.com has some shuttles that seem ok.

Was wondering if anyone else had done this before? I don't want keyboard mouse - just a remote.

Cheers

All depends what you're trying to do, if you just want a small PC then the shuttle's are nice compact units.

If you're going to be watching films then you may find that the noise associated with standard PC's gets annoying and (like me) you might start to get obsessed by getting it as quiet as possible.

I find a good source of stuff is https://www.sff-store.com (used to be ultim8pc) they were very good at providing advice.

In the end I bought a fanless motherboard and a case with a fanless power supply so that the only thing making a noise is the hard disk.
