Council Tax Rebanding Appeal - Help Please!

We are currently CT Band A and purchased the house next door (Also Band A) for my elderly father in law to live in.  He has since passed away so we went through the relevant Building Regulations and knocked through just the two middle rooms so created one dwelling.

We contacted the VOA to request that the house be rebanded as B or C as one dwelling rather than two dwellings at Band A.  Their decision was to keep both dwellings at Band A because from the exterior they present as two dwellings and also because the interior alterations were minimal.

We have a date for an Appeal Tribunal and are trying to put together some evidence to support our argument.  The problem I have is that the houses on our street are Edwardian Terraced houses and none of them have been knocked through to make one four bedroomed house.  I was hoping to find something similar, check its CT band or discover a similar property's value in April 1991.

Does anyone have any ideas?  We would be very grateful
Thank You
