Credit card payment holiday due to illness

My partner has been off work for close to a year now - still under contract with their empoyer but sick pay and SSP have now ended and they are now off-payroll with nil income . They have decent sized credit card debts with multiple providers and have been managing the repayment from savings - but in a month or two the savings will be gone and they will struggle to make the repayments.
Can they ask for a payment holiday until they can get back to work? That should be within the next few months. If they do get a payment holiday - will it have an adverse affect on credit rating?

This would be better on the debt board but yes any missed payments, agreed or otherwise are going to have a negative affect on credit file.0

Your partner may be able to claim either New Style ESA or UC depending on their NI contributions for ESA and your joint income for UC.0

When SSP was going to end did the employer send an SSP1 form advising end date and how to claim ESA0
