TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Virgin Bet x Absolute Radio Online CHELTENHAM competition” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

 

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs

 

Entries are restricted to one per person.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

 

There will be 1 competition winner in total. The prize winner will be chosen at random from the persons who successfully answer the series of multiple-choice questions and submit their details. All correct entries will be pooled and winners are selected by electric random draw.

 

3. ENTRY PERIOD 

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

 

From 00:01 Monday 17th February (the “Start Time”) to 23:59 Thursday 27th February 2024 (“End Time”).

 

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid. 

 

However, if the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS 

·      Open to UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. 

·      One entry per person.

·      Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

·      Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio brand, they or anyone living at the winning address will not be eligible to win this competition. 

·      We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

5. THE PRIZE 

There will be 1 x prize winner, who will win 1x prize package (the “Prize”) for a total of 4 adults consisting of the below:

·      Return private transfers from accommodation to Cheltenham Festival

·      Bespoke three-course meal by a private chef, available for up to 4 people, includes all ingredients, washing up and chef’s travel

·      Dinner and drinks at a top local pub or restaurant, up to the value of £100 per person including gratuity

·      Return private transfers from the accommodation to the local pub or restaurant

·      £150 spending money (winner only)

The Prize is provided by Bauer Media. Virgin Bet is not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.

 

*Proof of ID and Address will need to be provided to Bauer Media. Once the winners have passed the winners criteria, the winners name, phone number, email and address will be cross-checked against the Bauer Winner database and once winners pass the criteria, prizes will be sent to the respective winner.

Additional Prize Terms:

·      Virgin Bet Limited (“Virgin Bet”) is not involved in or responsible for the organisation or conduct of this Competition. All participant inquiries should be directed to the Promotor on the details above, and not Virgin Bet.

·      Virgin Bet shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner as a result of the winner accepting and/or using a prize, except for any loss, damage or injury which is due to the negligence or wilful misconduct by Virgin Bet or which otherwise cannot be excluded by law.

·      Prize Package is for four (4) adults, all of whom must be over the age of 18 and must travel at the same time with the same itinerary; photographic proof of age may be required upon booking;

·      Accommodation is based on four (4) people sharing three (3) rooms in self-catering accommodation near Cheltenham for a three (3) night stay, checking in on 12th March and checking out on 15th March 2025; Accommodation will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;

·      The prize excludes travel, meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package; 

·      All elements of the prize are subject to availability; if unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal monetary value may be offered at the prize provider’s discretion; 

·      Winners must be available to travel for arrival on Wednesday 12th March and departure on Saturday 15th March 2025; No other dates will be offered; 

·      Once booked, the prize cannot be amended or cancelled; 

·      Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable; no cash alternative is available; 

·      Three-course private chef prepared dinner is for 4 people in total; any dietary requirements must be disclosed upon booking; menu options will vary by location;

·      Winner and guest are provided with 1 ticket per person to the Gold Cup at Cheltenham Festival on Friday 14th March 2025; No other dates will be offered; Tickets include entry into the Tattersall Enclosure; additional terms relating to the tickets may apply and will be advised upon booking; 

·      Dinner at the specified restaurant is provided to the value of £100 per person, including gratuity; 

·      Return transfers from the accommodation to the chosen restaurant is provided to the max value of £50 each way;

·      Spending money to the value of £150 is provided to the winner only and will be sent via bank transfer to the winner’s nominated account, recipient of funds must be aged 18 years or older;

·      All cash allowances listed will be sent via bank transfer to the winner’s nominated account, recipient of funds must be aged 18 years or older;

·      If the winner elects not to, or is unable to, use part of the prize, the winner will forfeit that part of the prize package;

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3. MISCELLANEOUS. 

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call. 
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route. 
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition. 
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
