OP - looking at your previous posts, you seem have an awful lot of different 'diary' threads which fizzle out pretty quickly. Why not stick to one of those and update it regularly (which will be much easier for you, and more interesting for anyone following your progress),  instead of starting yet another new one?
    Yup - this is true.

    ADHD brain unfortunately.

I've started them now so while the motivation to keep them going is strong I shall post away on them all.

  • @Forever_Red - I'll have a look when I'm logged in. Not sure I can change it, I'm on a civil service pension. Not sure if that makes any difference.
@LHW99 - Yeah I don't want to be in my 60's and starting to panic about finances so now is the time to get it sorted.

The civil service operates both a defined benefit and a defined contribution pension, so once you have checked online which one you’re in, you’ll be able to understand your position a little more clearly and others will be able to give you the relevant information for that scheme.
  • So my pension is the Alpha which is a Defined Benefit Pension.

We were switched to this in 2020 but when I'm logged in I can't see the amount that I paid to my previous pension transferring in so I've contacted HR to ask them about it.

I've been with the company since 2014 so that's a number of years now missing.
