99 times out of 100, you will be contacted within the next few weeks for any payments already due and to set up a new DD.
If you want to try and be the 1 in 100 then go for it, keeping the money aside for when they come after you.

And yes, I've organised the tax and insurance myself so there's no administrative errors in that regard...!0
