My tax code is 93L.
How is my tax calculated?
Is it 93L after the £12570.00 threshold or is it tax payable after £930.00?

There are two separate questions really, i.e. how much annual income can you receive without paying tax, and what deductions are applied via PAYE.

The answer to the first should be £12,570 (for PAYE income), assuming you're not using marriage allowance.

The answer to the second is that monthly deductions will be based on tax being payable above one twelfth of £930 each month.

If you need more information, you'd need to share more details about how that code has been derived and what your income streams are, etc....

OP, do you by any chance receive a state pension ?
If you do,  this is taxable income but not taxed at source, so HMRC will deduct the state pension amount you are expected to receive over the year from (e,g) 12570 to determine how much of your tax allowance remains to be used by any other income sources, and this will make up your tax code.

Have a look at your personal tax account to see how HMRC have arrived at that coding

Assuming that you are in receipt of your State pension:  Personal tax allowance of £12,570 minus State pension of £11,640 = £930.

Tax code of 93L is applied to your other income, meaning your first £930 per year is tax free, with any amount over that being taxable.
