Currently trying to remortgage but the mortgage lender Precise  in the offer is insisting on EPC certificate and we’ve never had one in twenty years we have been living in the propert We are not selling or renting out, it’s our main home. To top it all they are also asking for guarantees for roof covering and double glazing we had done few years ago. No idea what to do with this one and this is after we have paid them for the valuation

Is this anew thing and absolute? Has anyone come across this?

I'm currently in the process of remortgaging.  My broker says that if I can get an EPC showing category A or B then I get a better deal on mortgage.  My last EPC was category C.  Nothing has changed so there's no point me getting a new EPC
