Jabra BT320 Stereo Bluetooth Headset £9.99 Delivered. Works with any 3.5mm unit

Jabra BT320 Stereo Bluetooth Headset (You can use your own headphones too!) £9.99 Delivered

I called the sales line on 0500 178 178 and they charged be £9.99 inc VAT and P&P.
Just noticed that a £1.75 charge is added in error by the web site.
They confirmed there is a bug on the web site that is overcharging. I was after a BT stereo headset for my refurb SE 990i and I saw this unit. You can plug in your own headphones, I want to use my Sure SE-340s. The Mic is in the base and it has a 3.5mm jack so it can be used with any set of headphones or even as a line in feed for an amp or MP3 cassette adapter. Some reports of issues on some older Nokias but these seem to be poor implementations of the standards as later phones seem fine. Check the product home page for product details, photos, compatibility etc. I've put this with the reviews at the end of this post.

Prices seem to range from £14 to £16 plus P&P averaging around £20 so it is a reasonable price as P&P are included. Quidco only do cashback for phones.

Older Nokia handsets didn't support A2DP, the bluetooth profile for stereo audio. Firmware updates were brought out for some of them (like the 6233), but not all and there were no announcements made about it or anything. (Which was fun - I worked in Nokia tech support at the time and we found out when a customer told us. We didn't believe him and had to go away and test it ourselves!)

There are updated for lots of the Windows Mobile units that seem to fix problems. Thanks for the update as some of the review from users of the older Nokia was not good. From what you are saying people should check for updated firmware versions that add support for A2DP, and if this is available and they are happy to upgrade then this BT headset might be worth thinking about.

Thanks for the heads up I'm going to see if my Nokia N800 internet tablet supports A2DP!

  • thanks OP just ordered one. BTW price on Web is £9.49 therefore charged £1.75 for P&P but I ordered another for my brother so no issues for me.

I don't think it does, but we never tested it. The N800 was never really aimed as a media player, so it might not be included.

OTOH, if the bluetooth hardware is capable of it (and it's unlikely that it wouldn't be), someone could always hack a suitable drive. The main appeal (to me, anyway!) of the N800 was that it's a Linux device.

We lost the support contract before the N810 was announced, which is a pity since I'd love to see if its keyboard is any good!
