    Technically yes. In theory they have to provide a written statement of the main particulars of your employment (or some such similar phrase). However it is largely a moot point as there is little you can do about it if they don't. You cannot make a tribunal claim on this point alone. If you have some other valid tribunal case against them you can add this failing to the claim. The tribunal might make a modest award at its discretion (but often doesn't).

    The law is in writing.  Northern_Monkey is only seeking the statutory entitlement.
  • Hi, just a quick update.
    I contacted ACAS who confirmed my entitlement.
    I then took this information back to my employer who claimed a glitch in the time keeping system due to my fortnightly shifts had caused the problem.
    I now have my full quota of holidays.
     Thanks again everyone for your initial advice.
