Mortgage worries.

Has anyone recently got a mortgage with nation wide, did they ask for bank statements, me and my partner are FTB, we have submitted an application for a mortgage on a house, with a good deposit and around 20k savings left over after putting down our deposit etc. we both have really good credit scores but I’m currently on maternity leave so my last few bank statements have been shocking, spent more money then I have in my account and been in my arranged overdraft every month. Usually isn’t a problem but it’s been Christmas and a few car things I’ve had to pay for. Do you think I will be declined because of this.
