Car finance mess

I have had my car repossessed this morning. 3k arrears, nearly 5k to pay in total as the remaining balance.
I understand it goes to auction and I’ll get a bill. Can I just set up a plan to pay this bill or will I end up with a a CCJ?
worried about a CCJ as I’m already trying to remove one at the minute I could do without a second. All this with two demanding three year old kids I can’t cope.0 -

thanks
Presumably if you can come up with the arrears and any storage/collection fees due then you will be able to get the car back?Teaandbiscuits21 said:Hi guys ultimately I left it too late.

Why don't you just get in touch though? You keep on dragging your heels and now it's got to this stage.2 -

Ok, that was me.
At the moment you don't know what is owed. It's possible (but unlikely) that you don't owe anything
I assume this was a HP or PCP agreement that you stopped paying. You didn't mention a court process so it must have been early in the term
This guide explains the process
https://nationaldebtline.org/get-information/guides/hire-purchase-debt-ew/
And at the end there is a sample calculation which may not be a lot different from your situation
So when you know how much you owe, post here on dfw. We'll need to know a bit more about your situation - other debts, income, expenditure. There's always a way forward, and you won't necessarily get a ccj.1 -
