A colleague gave my gift to the wrong colleague in my absence, should I have said something ?

I left a few small Christmas gifts in the office for some colleagues (fully named correctly and obviously)- who were initially absent but may receive it when they returned from being ill. I was then ill and was absent for some time too.
Upon returning a colleague -A, thanked me for their little gift, which confused me as I did not leave a gift for them.
I realised later that another colleague -B,  gave/passed it to them while i was away.  The wrong recipient has the same first name as the person -C, whom I had left a gift for.
So am a little annoyed that the gift went to the wrong person - not by me. Especially as the intended person -C has given me few gifts for past couple of years and I have now had the chance to reciprocate in such a long time.
Should i have said something to anyone them?

Colleague A hasn't done anything wrong.  Don't hurt his/her feelings but saying the gift was intended for someone else.
Colleague B likely made an honest mistake.  What do you hope to gain by making colleague B feel bad?
It's a share the gift didn't reach Colleague C.  Perhaps you can mention that you had left a gift for them but it must have gone missing.  There must be plenty of things you can do to show your appreciation for Colleague C

Did you not think at the time - oh A and C have the same name, this might cause an issue (obvs not)
    I wouldn’t be blaming B at all

If you have a good relationship with C - I would just raise it and if you feel the need apologise and offer to take them out for a coffee/lunch
Its the kind of funny story friends look back at and laugh years after the event

How was the gift named correctly to distinguish which one of the two persons with same name  it was for?

From what the original post says, it sounds like person A and person C both had the same first name.
The OP says they labelled the gifts fully and correctly.

So I'd guess person A is Jane Green and person C is Jane Brown (for example).
And that's how the gifts were labelled.

    Might be wrong.

In that case why would person give it too someone with the wrong b
nane and why would that person accept  a gift bearing someone else’s name?

    I have no idea.
I did say I might be wrong.

The only person who can confirm what happened is the OP - and they haven't logged back onto MSE since they posted.

I've mentioned to few colleagues  in a light hearted way, who know persons A and B, whom can understandably only empathise and just suggestto leave the situation.
