you need to bear in mind if you buy from abroad, you weren’t really having much in the way of consumer rights if they send you something that’s just not right.
Remember this is a moneysaving site and questioning the OPs ability to afford a holiday is not what this forum is intended for.0 -
I missed the line about getting them made whilst on holiday. I had a Chinese friend when I was a child whose family would all get their glasses in China when they went back for a visit. As far as I know the lenses were similar quality as we'd get when buying glasses over here, but the frames weren't - the 'half-rim' frames were full frames cut in half and glued to edge of the lens
However that *was* ~20 years ago so I have no doubt the frames are better quality now even if they're still much cheaper.
