Pepperoni Shortage?

Is there an UK shortage of pepperoni?

In the Glasgow area - Asda, Tesco, Lidl and Aldi all say they are out of stock.

Any reasons why?

I did buy a peppeoni pizza from the Co-op on Tollcross Road, does that count? (it wasn't a frozen one)

Just checked online at Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco, Ocado & Waitrose and it’s available at all of them so it must be area specific

 Yes i was looking for pepperoni to make pizza and found none in all those stores plus marks and spencer food hall

No shortages in Northern Ireland, I had so much leftover last week I was making garnishes with it!

We have same problem here aberdeenshire, been looking everytime ( my boy like pepperoni on hus pizzas ) at the shops and nothing at tesco, morrison.....

A couple years ago Asda dropped the Danish branding from their pepperoni. But the product remained the exact same.

Presumably Danish Crown closing it's largest pork slaughter house in Denmark 2024 has had an knock on effect for it's subsidiary, pepperoni giant, DK-Foods, which it acquired in 2018.
