Which brand is best for summer footwear?

I want to buy durable summer footwear & I'm not sure which brand would be worth the price. Please help! I need honest firsthand reviews.

    What type of footwear are you after? sandals, trainers... 

    Fundamentally it will depend on what fits your feet and lifestyle and what you want to wear the shoes with.

    I love my birkies which I have in several styles, but I also wear smarter sandals from New Look(!) Clarks and Gabor, and have espadrilles from Jones Bootmakers and Penelope Chilvers for summer wear.

    I'm considering some Dr Martens sandals for this year.
