Selling signed books/special editions

The book you provided a link to is still available to buy brand new for £30 here so as secondhand probably £20 if in perfect condition but they've not been able to sell 1,000 copies in 8 years so it may be slow to achieve it. There is a very good copy on sale on eBay for £16 at the moment. 

Thanks, I bought it for £2.50 from the charity shop so a profit of £13.50 would be alright! 

Perhaps I'll keep the Jilly Cooper for a while longer.

If there is one on eBay at £16, you should price yours at £15 or less to make it a more attractive buy than the other. The JC may or may not increase in value, but there is little point in selling it now unless you need the shelf space.
