Hi,
I have a wedding to attend in Southampton later in the year, what's the best route? Ideally I would like to bring my car but if not I might need to be able to hire a car on the in England.
Thanks in advance.

Ferry to Liverpool or Holyhead then drive down to Southampton?

I'd fly, there's direct flights to Southampton from either Belfast Airport. 90 minutes in the air and a hire car is much more appealing than an all night ferry and four hour drive, personally!1

Definitely fly.
It is a long car journey otherwise.
And worse when you are driving back to try to make a ferry sailing time.1 -
I've opted to fly, thanks everyone.3
