Mortimer Clarke Earnings order

Options
Good morning
I wondered if I could get some advice please
I received a notice of application for attachment of earnings order from the above for a debt with Cabot financial. Do I have to fill in the attached statement of means to send back to them? I also do not recall ever having any credit with Cabot and haven't had any other forms of communication from them.
Any advice or guidance would eb greatly appreciated.

Don't fill that in, reply saying you have no knowledge of owing any money to Cabot, have not received any communications from Cabot, and ask them to produce proof about what this alleged debt is

An attachment of earnings form would come from the court and there would have to be a ccj less than 6 years old.

Not clear what you've had if it has come direct from the creditor.

Could it be one of these?

Cabot would need to have taken you to court, and been granted a CCJ against you in order to proceed to an AOE.

    Has any of that happened?

Well first off there would be a letter before action, if that were ignored, then a claim form would be next, if you failed to defend the claim a CCJ would be granted against you, that would show in the public information section of your credit file, and also at registry trust.com.

So long as creditors have your current address, a court claim is quite hard to miss.
