Good morning
I wondered if I could get some advice please
I received a notice of application for attachment of earnings order from the above for a debt with Cabot financial. Do I have to fill in the attached statement of means to send back to them? I also do not recall ever having any credit with Cabot and haven't had any other forms of communication from them.
Any advice or guidance would eb greatly appreciated.

Don't fill that in, reply saying you have no knowledge of owing any money to Cabot, have not received any communications from Cabot, and ask them to produce proof about what this alleged debt is0

Thank you for this, will do this today0

An attachment of earnings form would come from the court and there would have to be a ccj less than 6 years old.
Not clear what you've had if it has come direct from the creditor.
Could it be one of these?

Cabot would need to have taken you to court, and been granted a CCJ against you in order to proceed to an AOE.

So long as creditors have your current address, a court claim is quite hard to miss.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
