Teen money making

Hi, I'm looking for suggestions on ways my 14 year old can make some money.
She has her phone permanently attached to her hand 🙄 so online surveys or similar would be great.

My 11 year old would be more keen to earn money than the 14 year old 😂 is there anything he can do?

Thanks - from a poor parent 💸💸😊

Don't these things normally require the person to be 18?

Also kids that age would no doubt find doing loads of online surveys to earn £1 in a few weeks time a bit boring.

My thought as well.  Many surveys are looking for the spending habits of someone on a decent income.  I get knocked out of many of them quite quickly as my income isn't decent and might get 1 point for my trouble.  Not sure how many points it takes to get £1 but after doing surveys off and on for a year they owe me less than £20.

And frankly any survey company that is looking for individuals under 18 might be a bit suspect.

Is there any other way she can make money out of her IT skills?  Help others set up or fix their mobiles?  Help a local business by dealing with their website?  It makes my head hurt to see how many websites are badly run when a few minutes a week would tidy things up nicely and make a business more attractive to customers.  (updating prices for the local chip shop etc)

Otherwise it's back to the tried and true methods to make a bit of cash.  Babysitting, washing cars, weeding a garden, sweeping leaves up.  Her phone would be a help with these in a small way - I've had fairly young people 10 - 12 yo knocking on the door and asking if there's some small job they could do.  I've always thought that if someone in my situation says "yes, let's go into the back garden to do a tidy" the youngster should take a picture of me and my house with the number to send to a parent so that there's a safety net.  Anyone who objects to this small amount of security should be avoided.  (yes, cynical and with a suspicious mind.)

There's only swagbucks at 13 and they can only get gift cards out of it.

Do you really think it is safe for a 14 year old to be standing in a street, playing a musical instrument with an open container for money in general view. Don't buskers need a licence?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Depends on the local council - very often, no licence is required, but you'd need to check.

I guess that depends where you are.  In my local town we often get kids busking (and a lot of them are very talented, I have to say !).  I've never seen any hint of problems, and it's the sort of area where, if anyone did try anything funny, people would pile in and help.  But I fully appreciate that's not the case everywhere.

I don't live in a "bad area", but if I had a 14 year old I would not allow them to go busking in the town centre, especially on a Saturday
