Pension help!

3 months after joining my employer I received an email asking if I would like to opt into their pension scheme. I confirmed that I would and left it at that.
I was recently made redundant during my maternity leave (whole other issue) and upon receiving my final pay slip and P45 I noticed that I had no pension contributions from myself or the company. I have followed up asking for such record.
is this my problem? I feel like this is their responsibility. Anyone have any words or wisdom?
My previous employer and I aren’t on great terms since the straight out the hospital redundancy so the whole thing has caused such anxiety for me.
any help would be appreciated

Do your old payslips not show any pension contributions?
If they don’t then I would think it’s unfortunately down to you not noticing and they won’t be liable.

Did they give you any paperwork for whatever pension you'd signed up to? If you never had any or any deductions then it probably didn't get implemented (from your comment about the employer that might be likely)Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Never received a thing. It’s unfortunate and likely my fault. My past employers have been good and honest didn’t know what was to come yet with this new job and was a very confused pregnant lady at this point. Thanks for your commentjimjames said:Did they give you any paperwork for whatever pension you'd signed up to? A polite letter to HR might clarify the position.Separately, you say "My past employers have been good and honest" - have you had more than one in the past, and have you definately checked that there were no pensions associated with any?0
