That sounds like a good day. Blod the Beautiful's resting place sounds perfect.
I cannot picture the cooling eye mask that you can wear and still see in, unless you mean you'll all just have to cope with the dogs having crunchy nut and you having meaty chunks at breakfast times

I don't fancy their breakfast Pip! It's like a superhero mask with gel in it... Like the shape of Robin's eye mask.

I thought I might post a few photos of my girl.... She loved water and would plonk herself in any she could find.
They do have access to a pool I promise 😂

I put my £300 into my daily allowance/superfluous spends pot yesterday but just realised there's only 28 days in February so I only need £280.
So £20 paid off the credit card and another square coloured in.

I love your tracker - great motivation having something so visual - and far more exciting than filling colours on a spreadsheet table like I do!

Thanks @Dakota_Rose I am hoping that seeing it regularly keeps it fresh in my mind and keeps me motivated.
I officially start my new job tomorrow (but still doing the old one too, and one more week of lecturing). The plans I had to get prepared and put myself in a good position for the inevitable exhaustion did not come to fruition. I am already exhausted. I am already behind on my work. I did not sort my sleep, my diet, or get back to some sort of exercise. I did however survive January and did it pretty well.
My tortoise woke up from hibernation this morning and I wasn't prepared, so that had to be my priority for the day. Most of my other plans for the day went out the window. It does mean though that I can turn the downstairs bathroom radiator back on and I could have a shower in warmth this evening. Winning!
My cordless hoover wasn't sucking up anything unless it was on boost mode. I thought I was going to have to buy a new one with my first new wages, but I watched some yutub videos on cleaning them out and repairing them, so fingers crossed! I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Whilst I am very glad that I can figure out basic problems with appliances and watch some vids and do some fixes, I cannot wait for the day when I don't have to. I'll probably always have a go, coz that's sensible, but it would be nice to know I could replace whatever breaks if I can't fix it. What does financial freedom look like to me? Not having to fix/patch up appliances.

I am with you on wondering what financial freedom looks and feels like, I don't think I've ever experienced it, which is disappointing as I'm 40 in a couple of weeks. I've wanted a tortoise for years, maybe I'll get one when I'm debt free and have the brain space to research their needs. Good luck on the new job.
