Cabot financial want to send company called Orbit to my door

Really hoping someone can help please.
I have had Cabot financial calling me I have not answered as they call during the day when I’m sleeping as I work nightshift. Now I’m getting messages from a company called orbit saying if I don’t contact Cabot that Orbit will send someone to my door. I’m in complete meltdown mode. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

If someone arrives, tell them politely to go away. I know that sounds flippant, but really, it is that simple.

As for the phone calls, contact Cabot and tell them that going forwards they are ONLY to contact you in writing, and that they should remove any phone umbers they have for you from their records. Inform them that any further telephone calls will be viewed as harassment. You are perfectly entitled to do this.

No need to panic, debt collectors have no statutory powers, just say "no thanks" and close the door.

As essex mentions above, update your GDPR preferences and it will stop callers.

How are they contacting you, text, email, letter. Use the same medium to contact them. Remember creditors have by law to send certain important documents to you by mail and if they go legal you have a limited time to respond, so you need to open letters.

You don't have to share an I&E but they are not going to be able to check the details anyway.

So you can email them and state clearly that "from this point, you may no longer use the telephone, or any of my telephone numbers that you hold on file, to contact me. Any such numbers that you hold for me should be removed from my records with you, and you may only make contact with me in writing" (You can also say "by hard copy letter, through the mail" if that suits you better and you would rather avoid emails). Go on to tell them that further contacts of any form via the telephone will be viewed as harassment.

Add in your email/letter whatever it is, that you also "remove their and their agents right of implied access to your property".

You can also put such a notice on your door/window, it essentially gives notice that you have barred any potential caller and anyone who knocks on your door can be treated as a trespasser, who can, potentially then be dealt with by the police.
