OH is a good few months away from claiming but we've started diving in to the information poolQyburn said:
Neither the invitation letters nor the online application process make any reference to payment frequency. The online claim actually takes you right to the "Submit" stage with no mention, presumably if you proceed it's going to choose four weekly.poseidon1 said:
Reason being, those who are not yet eligible had no idea weekly receipt was an option ( not exactly publicised ) and once they thought about it the cashflow benefit made a lot of sense.
The four weekly is so ingrained that even after phoning to claim (weekly) I actually got a letter confirming the claim and giving dates and amounts for a four weekly payment, as well as one showing the weekly figures.
Neither of us had any idea about alternatives to the monthly option, would prefer weekly and now wondering how this unknown option is chosen come the time... 0 -
When the time comes, I won't care as long as I get it. I won't bother about gaining pennies.0

Neither of us had any idea about alternatives to the monthly option, would prefer weekly and now wondering how this unknown option is chosen come the time.....after you have had your invite and confirmed, you can either set up a "SP account", (link in one of the posts above), or you can phone them up and tell them.NB It's better to set up an account, as this also lets you change the account the money is paid into should you need to....The fact that they don't offer this option "up front", makes me think they are not keen on people doing it??...and the SP has never been paid "monthly"....the default is 4 weeks...
