Hi I heard about a pension tracker. Can anyone help me to find a possible missing private pension? Thanks.

Well I might have difficulty as this company will not be around now. This is what they gave me.

And did you follow those links?

Do you have any more details? Any documents?

I found this Baxall plc: https://www.companysearchesmadesimple.com/company/uk/01610846/baxall-p-l-c/

But that company number is not found on companies house website.

    However, it does state

    "PREVIOUS NAMES
    02/07/1982  24/04/1986
    BAXALL C.C.T.V. LIMITED"

I also found this, which indicates they used to be into CCTV

    https://collection.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk/people/ap9475/baxall-plc

    Which led me to:

    https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/07176173

But I've no idea if either of those two are what you're after.

If you can find a current director, they might be able to tell you what happened to the pension scheme.

How much detective work have you/are you willing to put into this?

Yes. I was a design engineer in the CTV compnay. They operated out of Stockport Manchester. May have been bought out by a larger company. If I got company by number and directors that would work. Can't think there would be more than one Baxall CCTV compnay.

This looks right "In 1982 it was restructured as a manufacturing company specialising in design, production and marketing of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) products for security and surveillance."

    Castlehill
    Horsfield Way
    Bredbury Park Industrial Estate
    Stockport

They're all ex-directors rather than current ones, but probably worth removing all the references to the names and details of individuals as that's frowned on by the forum rules, despite the information being in the public domain....

Ok sorry. They are dead now anyway. However, this is only a company search RIGHT? May not mean there is a pension behind it.

    Maybe take a step back.

Do you believe you paid into a pension at this job? Or did the company pay in for you? What dates are we talking about?

Looks like a small company when it existed.   Small companies didn't typically offer staff pensions.  So, did you even pay into a pension back then?
