I purchased a new cooker from very and from day 1 it's not worked as intended the main oven fan in operative, had 2 engineers come to repair but to no avail, I have been paying for it monthly and some interest on it, it has been returned as not fit for purpose or intended.. I was wondering if I'm entitled to interest charged to be refunded back..

If you've returned it and the contract has been cancelled I'd probably expect them to refund all fees and charges you've paid. If they are sending you a replacement, then probably not. Might be better asked in the consumer right forums.Andyrhubarb said:I purchased a new cooker from very and from day 1 it's not worked as intended the main oven fan in operative, had 2 engineers come to repair but to no avail, I have been paying for it monthly and some interest on it, it has been returned as not fit for purpose or intended.. If it was returned, was it done properly with the full support of Very?Be careful that you should continue to make payments until the loan is formally agreed as terminated in writing by the lender. The loan being connected to a tangible object is slightly misleading, they are 2 separate entities. You can suffer non-payment marks on your records if you end the agreement without the lender's agreement.I also think you shouldn't suffer financially if you received a product that didn't work. Any interest / penalties etc are for Very and the lender to sort out, but as said above, only if a replacement is not an option.May you find your sister soon Helli.
