Voluntary Contribution reply after April deadline for paying gaps

Hi, I have put in an application to pay voluntary NI contributions and pay gaps in my history too (I live abroad). The Gov website says I won't get a reply until after 15th May. This is after the deadline for paying gaps in my history. As I have the application submitted and been given a reference number does anyone know if will I still be able to top up the contributions? Thanks

We can confirm that you will not be penalised in any way because of the length of time it might take for you to receive a reply from our International Team.
As long as we have received your CF83 application form, if you have any shortfalls of voluntary National Insurance contributions then you will be given extra time to pay if you receive your reply close to or after 5 April 2025.
Thank you.
