You're beginning to suggest that lender doesn't actually know what the charge is for ......... but it's OK because it was inserted in the small print many years ago
Seem to have stirred up some past rivalry/animosity ............... getting out of here NOW ......... this place is seriously sad/depressing0 -
you know dunstonh you get right on my nerves - basically what I said was right, you couldnt see it and still don't with that arguement I had with you last time on that 'daft thread' (your words not mine).
your job means your biased, your not seeing this from consumers points of view. I have had no evidence of you siding with customers on this site. every time ive seen u post you have slated the customer making a challenge to the system. such as in this thread.
are you saying that i shouldnt post when i side with someone who doesnt agree with you... well sorry fella but Ill say what I feel... I make no inappropriate comments, and its you that doesnt like being challenged.
You find in this world more than you has an opinion on something and just cos u say somethign doesnt mean its correct - please note my point on long standing forum people... your demonstrating this right now with your comments in this thread0 -

Not the lender but the usually low skilled clerk on the front line that is there to answer the questions.
Your argument was flawed though.you know dunstonh you get right on my nerves - basically what I said was right, you couldnt see it and still don't with that arguement I had with you last time on that 'daft thread' (your words not mine).
In what way? I dont earn from mortgages. I do no mortgage transactions. I do not work for a bank and receive no payments or income from a bank.your job means your biased, your not seeing this from consumers points of view.
Another flawed argument. You have no evidence but have only posted for less than a month.I have had no evidence of you siding with customers on this site. every time ive seen u post you have slated the customer making a challenge to the system. such as in this thread.
You have an opinion but when the opinion is flawed and based on inaccurate assumptions then dont expect us to agree with you.re you saying that i shouldnt post when i side with someone who doesnt agree with you... well sorry fella but Ill say what I feel... I make no inappropriate comments, and its you that doesnt like being challenged.
Problem was that when you were presented with the facts, you chose to ignore them. You find in this world more than you has an opinion on something and just cos u say somethign doesnt mean its correct
I have little time for people that want to whine for whining sake. When you have something valid to whine about then I will support it. Some people arent happy unless they are whinging and that is how you came across.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I dont know how to quote like you do... and you seem to do it a lot when patronising but ill take your points here..
1. my argument was not flawed, it was valid.. you disagreed with it and I argued back instead of accepting your opinion. we have an impass here, I dont agree with you and you dont agree with me
2. you financial advisors get a lot of wokr wiht people coming to you asking for advice on mortgages, problems with money etc. you job revolves around banks. Id say that shows you to a degree need to side with banks as if they didnt exist you wouldnt have people comign to you with problems.
3. i can read through your posts very easily. I have looked at this site long before becoming a member so dont u dare use 'your a new member so keep shut and let seniors deal with it' attitude. before coming back to post here I read a few of your posts and you did use this same what I consider patronising attitude - I agreed with one of your posts actually whilst looking through - we dont want you thinking I would knock eveyr post you make
4. fair point if u conisder my opinion incorrect but I feel they are correct. again this goes back to point 1, if I said somethign incorrect and you correctde me fair enough, but when I say somethign and you state your point which I dont agree with I will not fall in line just cos u said it
5. i didnt ignore your points I merley debated them with you which you didnt like. Ive never met you, maybe you take a certain attitude when online as to real life. I dont think Im whining for the sake of it, I have much better things to do which is why I disappear cos I do have a life outside this forum. I just sided with someone who was challenging the system, you didnt like it and you strike me as someone who doesnt like being challenged0 -

Your opinion was not shared by any of the regulars and reasons were given why. Reasons you chose to ignore. You also said you didnt believe those reasons despite them being correct.2. you financial advisors get a lot of wokr wiht people coming to you asking for advice on mortgages, problems with money etc. you job revolves around banks. Id say that shows you to a degree need to side with banks as if they didnt exist you wouldnt have people comign to you with problems.
Again, you make assumptions which are wrong. I'm an IFA. IFAs are investment advisers. Whilst some IFAs may also do mortgages, I do not and an increasing number of IFAs do not. I would earn far more money if the banks did not exist and as I have said, and as evidenced in my past posts, I am very much anti bank with both their attitude to regulation and compliance, marketing and charges.3. i can read through your posts very easily. Your subject tends to be a bit of an FAQ so you should expect that sort of response. FAQs normally do on any board and have done ever since the days of usenet.4. fair point if u conisder my opinion incorrect but I feel they are correct. again this goes back to point 1, if I said somethign incorrect and you correctde me fair enough, but when I say somethign and you state your point which I dont agree with I will not fall in line just cos u said it
I have no problem with you having an opinion but when you say you dont believe it or choose to ignore the reasons then your opinion doesnt really stack up. If the facts were not known then fair enough. When the facts are known and you still dont agree then you are effectively going round saying that gress is red and roads are made out of jelly.5. i didnt ignore your points I merley debated them with you which you didnt like. I dont mind being challenged and I do challenge others. However, I work on the basis of fact. If someone gives me evidence of something I will go with the evidence.
In your own words you chose to side with someone that was challenging the system. Why? If they were right then go for it but you dont know if they are right or wrong. You just liked that they were challenging it. If you want areas to challenge I can give you a load of areas but this just isnt one of them.
Look, I have nothing against you and if you were to post on another thread or start a different topic I would treat it as if this thread didnt exist. Just dont turn into a forum troll and create a them vs us attitude as that isnt needed.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
