On LCWRA and need help finding a job

I’m on LCWRA and UC because of a long term health condition but feel like it would be able to work part-time.  I’ve been looking for a long time but not been able to find a job.

I haven’t had any contact from the DWP for a long time except for a UC review a few months ago where they only asked about how much savings I have.

I’m thinking of putting a note on my journal asking for help to find work or training opportunities but I’m concerned that they will pressure me into taking a job which is unsuitable or hours that I feel unable to do.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice as I really want to work but am getting nowhere at the moment.  Thanks

Have you considered talking to an employment agency instead?  Some of them can be very good at giving constructive advice on how to get the sort of job you want.

You don't say what would be an appropriate job for you but I have found that the charity sector tends to be more accommodating for those that have to have more flexibility is how and when they work.  Might just be I'm lucky where I am.
