    Why did you need two loans with such a high income?

    Personally I’d look to pay off the loans ASAP and take it from there. You want to try and get the lowest possible mortgage rate as higher rates will be costly for £270k. 


    Unfortunately my wife’s salary wasn’t always what it was , I had to retrain which took me a good few years to get  a decent salary back from what it was  etc 

    not ideal set of circumstances but if i
    could pay it all off and get out of rented It would be amazing !
